Lyrics: Michael de Kooker ft. Nanje Nowack - Awake

Awake

Michael de Kooker ft. Nanje Nowack

Woke up today starring into the sea

Feeling the soft ocean breeze in the air

Walking back to the memory

Felt so good when I felt so free

Promises made for many years

Now I know and see the real you

Water of life washes over my pain

Easing the way right to my bones

I lie awake to the sound of the wave

I lie awake to the rhythm of the quake

Lyrics courtesy of Above All Records. Single released July 17, 2013 on Above All Records with remixes by Mark van Rijswijk and Diego.Morill

Awake (Original Mix)

Awake (Mark van Rijswijk Remix)

Awake (Diego.Morill Remix)

Awake (Alternative Mix)

He's hit 2013, and he's hitting it big time. Michael de Kooker makes his debut on Above All Recordings with a new treat for the ear. Together with South-African singer Nanje Nowack, he brings the sounds of 'Awake', a contagious tune for the prog lovers.

Following the success of his Mixmash smash 'Cruising', Armada's Pilot 6 tunes 'My Little Music Box' and 'Dear Daisy', as well as remixes for the likes of Veracocha, Perpetuous Dreamer and Misja Helsloot, Dutchman Michael de Kooker starts a new show. With 'Awake', he ticks the box on lush, dreamy vocals, smooth melodic swirls and deep, pounding bass. Carrying the warm voice of upcoming vocalist Nanje Nowack while providing you a perfect taste of Michael's producer skills, 'Awake' highlights every nocturnal hour.

Next to Michael's very own Alternative Mix, sweeping to the prog-house side of things, talents Mark van Rijswijk and Diego Morril all deliver their own interpretation of 'Awake'. Mexico's Diego Morril gives a new meaning to 'Awake', by speeding the BPM and letting it rush in at tech-trance speed. Balancing electro, house and prog, Mark van Rijswijk lets them all unite on his story-telling part of 'Awake'.
